PSB 600 Provides True Physical Protection
Against Waterside Terrorist Attacks

The PSB 600 barrier design, including actual full-scale testing, has been demonstrated to provide a level of true physical protection against waterside terrorist attack not available with other commercial barrier systems. Harbor Offshore Barriers, Inc., the exclusive licensee for the U.S. Navy barrier technology, has further developed the PSB system for commercial and foreign military applications.

The PSB 600 is appropriate for marine locations of port operations, naval installations, cruise lines, oil and gas platforms and terminals, chemical plants, nuclear power plants and dams.

Energy absorption: Greater than 2 million ft pounds

1. Nets available in steel and synthetic
2. Flotation is foam filled, high impact, UV protected, heavy walled HDPE.
3. Pontoons can be supplied in perpendicular or parallel design.
4. High strength truss assembly engineered for ocean environment, all weather and secondary attack.
5. Parts and connections are interchangeable.
6. Connection units and latches are all proprietary designed for continuous motion, heavy loads and are in extended use by the U.S. Navy.
7. High Visibility units are available in international orange or other colors and are excellent radar images.
8. Elevation of the barrier extends 9 ft above the water and is designed to guard against the impacts of larger vessels and high speed vessel jumping the barrier or low speed "push-overs".
9. Lengths of the barrier units range from 33 ft to 50 ft (10m-15m).
10. High reserve buoyancy provides greater stability during high energy impact.
11. Low draft so to not trap debris.
12. Anchoring system is engineered for long life and to the full capacity of the system.
13. Shore terminations have been designed and installed for high currents and up to 30 ft (9m) tidal ranges.
14. Low maintenance.
