Harbor Offshore Produces the First
Fixed Security Barrier System
A Fixed Security Barrier (FSB) is stationary. It is based on a simple concept that is easy to understand. Our Patent Pending FSB employs a specially designed system of net and components that are attached to existing structures or placed between pilings driven into the ocean floor. It supports protection below the surface of the water. The system can extend all the way to the ocean floor if required. It is suitable for use up to and beyond 60 meters of water depth.
Maintenance costs are low on our FSB due to the design of the structure, materials and moving parts. Our systems have adapted proven technology for structures and moorings, materials and industry standards, and incorporated them into our design for our FSB.
Harbor Offshore’s design of our first FSB has been in service
in the Arabian Gulf since December 2005.

Tests have validated that the FSB provides:
-
Continuous protection against multiple boat attacks.
-
Continuous protection against intruders at full power before, during and after an impact.
-
Continuous protection against slow speed heavy tonnage vessels and high speed lower tonnage vessels.
-
Continuous protection below the surface of the water.
NO OTHER BARRIER SYSTEM
offers this range of protection.
There are many ways to install our barrier systems. We design and install them in a way that meets your budget, has the least impact on traffic and operations and does not disrupt your daily commerce.
A fixed barrier is just one way of reducing the risks to your critical installations. We help you decide which system is most appropriate to your security needs.
